GLI part 2

Acelynn got to go Friday night with my mom and sister to the GLI for the Championship game between Michigan and MSU. She decided she was going to wear all Sparty (that's my girl and the shirt she is wearing I wore some 30 years ago- both of my girls have worn this shirt).

(I am surprised she can actually hold the seat down herself!!)

Acey and Grammie

Even though Acey cheered her heart out for the Spartans they were unable to pull out the victory. They lost to Michigan 3-2 in OT

GLI

My mom asked if she could take the girls to the Great Lakes Invitational this year. It would be their first trip ever to Joe Louis, so I said "Yes". Ava got to with my mom and sister Thursday night because she was having a sleep over the next night with Laine. She was all excited to go and she decided to wear her MSU sweatshirt and her Michigan t-shirt since both teams were playing and she likes them both!!!

Rissy, Ava and my mom posing with Gordie Howe!!!

The past couple years the Joe has decided to put their regular ticket holders on the sides and leave the ends open for general admission. My mom isn't a fan of her seats, but what can you do??? 30 some years of buying tickets for the GLI and you have no say in where you sit. I guess they are thankful college hockey fans are dedicated!!!

Ava was excited because she got to see both of her teams win!!! Michigan beat Boston College 4-2 and MSU beat Michigan Tech 3-1.

Our Tree

As always, I love taking pictures of our girls in front of our Christmas tree. They did a great job decorating it this year. We also started a new tradition with them this year....Candy found us 2 24" Christmas trees. So, we gave them to the girls to put in their rooms. They got lights only on them this year, but next year I can't wait to watch them decorate those trees as well!!!
