Snow Time!!!!!!!!!!

Well, this has been an extremely weird winter. We haven't had a lot of snow. I think it snowed one day in November (enough to have a snow day) and may 3 days in December, but then it would warm back up and the snow would be gone. Same thing for January and February. So, we tried to get out every time it snowed because it would be gone in the next couple of days!!!

Splash Universe- Dundee

This past weekend we headed down to Dundee to spend the night at Splash Universe!! The girls were really excited about going to the water park. We spent the weekend with Jane & Ken, the Kilmon's and the Maurer's. They had a toddler area that had 2 small slides and some other fun water features. The kids, especially Acelynn, loved the little slides. That is all she wanted to do, but we did get her to go on the 3 medium size slides and she loved those as well.

Which wasn't so lazy. I couldn't believe how the lifeguards would just let kids run through the river area. I have never been kicked so many times floating in a tube. It was nuts!!!

Everyone had a fun time. Kelli, Steve, Kyle and I all went down the 2 big slides together. We finally talked Ava into going down the BIG yellow slide. So, she went down with me and we managed not to go under water when we came out of the tunnel!!!

Divided household

As always we are still a much divided household when it comes to Michigan and Michigan State!!! My mom got us 4 tickets to the hockey game on Friday. The games between the two teams are pretty much even and have been fun to watch.

As you can see, Kyle has convinced Ava she likes Michigan (but still loves to sing the MSU fight song) and Acey is a girl after my own heart and loves her Sparty!!!!

Michigan State won 3-2, but lost to Michigan Saturday night 3-2 in OT!!!
It has been a lot more enjoyable to go and watch State play this year. I really feel Head Coach Anastos and Asst. Coach Miller have brought back the MSU hockey that we have been missing since Coach Mason retired. We look forward to watching this program take off again!!!

Finally......winter pictures

We have been waiting for it to snow (which it has on and off) but it hasn't stayed around long enough for us to get outside and take some pictures. I really wanted winter pictures for Christmas cards, but that didn't happen so neither did Christmas cards for 2011, but look for your Valentine!!!! Our friend Megan Kolberg (Megan Kolberg Photography) took these pictures on a beautiful day at Nokomis Park in Okemos.

Happy New Year

We spent New Years' Eve at Meemaw and Papa's house. They were watching Cameron because Jennifer and Shaun were on a cruise. I wasn't sure how long the kiddos were going to last but they were sports and made it to midnight.

The 30 minutes after this picture were complete meltdowns by all 3 of them!!!
