Frozen Four

This past weekend we were able to be part of a new world record. We attended the Men's Ice Hockey Frozen Four and it set a record for attendance for an indoor hockey game. It was held at Ford Field! The final four teams were RIT, Wisconsin, Miami of Ohio and Boston College. BC defeated Wisconsin to become the 2010 National Champion. The venue was cool, but the games were pretty boring. Wisconsin blew out RIT, BC blew out Miami and then BC blew out Wisconsin! Hopefully next year the games will be more exciting in St. Paul!!

Happy Easter!!!

Easter morning the girls played with their gifts that they got from the Easter bunny. Ava got a Princess Potty book, a doodle and a new pair of sandals; Acelynn got a book, pajamas and a new pair of shoes. We took the girls to Easter Mass and they both did very well. After that we headed over to GG's for the Easter egg hunt and dinner!!!

A wedding in Missouri

We traveled to Missouri the weekend of March 20th for Patrick and Atalie's wedding. We left late Thursday evening and drove straight through to Springfield. When we got there we slept for a couple hours and then got up for breakfast. We ended up eating at the Bass Pro Shop World Headquarters. They had a great breakfast buffet for cheap and the kids ate free!! We spent most of Friday at the Bass Pro Shop looking at all the different things they had there. They had a real alligator!!! Trying to watch the MSU basketball game that name was a little tricky because Missouri and Oklahoma State were both on! Saturday was the wedding and we had a GREAT time!!! We left on Sunday and listened to the MSU game on the radio!!!

The Arch in St. Louis (Rissy actually took this picture, we went by it at 2:30am and my pictures didn't turn out as well)

Waiting patiently for everyone to finish singing to her, so she could blow out her candle!

Do I really get to eat this all by myself??

YUM!! YUM!!

At Acelynn's 1yr check up:
  • She weighed in at 17# 3oz and was 29" long. She is just off the growth chart.
  • She has begun to take a few steps here and there, but would prefer to crawl.
  • She has 6 teeth in (3 on top & 3 on the bottom) with two more working their way in (1 on top and 1 on the bottom), I think she is working on cutting her molars as well....those fingers have been in the back of her mouth.
  • She is saying a few words: momma, dadda, bye and yes.

Ava's 1st Haircut

On March 8th I took Ava to get her 1st haircut. We were getting to the point of a screaming fit every time I tried to brush her hair because it was getting so snarly because the ends were drying out.

Gettin' ready to get into the chair!

Not so happy with the whole process....she really didn't want to wear the cape.

Kel took off about an inch, but it had really made a difference. Her cow lick is laying down better!!!!!

Acelynn's 1 year pictures

Acelynn is turning 1 in 12 days. I can't believe how fast this past year has gone. So, I decided to get professional pictures done instead of doing it myself. So we took the girls to Portrait Innovations last week and this is what they produced!!!

this one was my ultimate favorite....it just captures her

We did get some pictures take of the girls together as well and I will post them soon!!!
